He is M.Sc in Chemistry with Advanced Physical Chemistry specialization from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack, Orissa in the year 2001 and M.Tech course in Rubber Technology Centre, IIT Kharagpur. During his M.Tech course, he has done project work on “Effect of Carbon Black on Physical and Electrical properties of SBR- NBR Blends”. Besides, he has also undergone a short-term in-plant training program in the Cable Division of Nicco Corporation Limited, Kolkata.
Before joining in IRMRA, he has worked in the R&D Centre of Apollo Tyres Limited, Baroda, Gujarat. During the period he was an active member of the R&D compounding team taking care of “Passenger Car Radial (PCR)” and newly introduced “Truck Bus Radial (TBR)” sections.
He is having keen interest in polymer/rubber research and is presently associated with different R&D projects. Currently he is heading the “Mechanical – I & Radiological Section” of IRMRA and is responsible for all Testing and Quality related jobs. He is also a trained Internal Auditor of NABL as per ISO/IEC 17025: 2005. He is an active member of many Failure Analysis and Internal & Sponsored R&D Projects. He has undergone basic training on Finite Element Analysis software “ABAQUS” and is involved in design of sophisticated testing facilities for Uniaxial tension and compression, Planar and Biaxial required for FEA. |
