Brief Summary :

Arindam Mukherji, Currently working as Asst. Director (Scientist) at IRMRA (Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India). He is looking after the Nano Technology and latex Division as Section Head. He has completed his degree in Polymer chemistry from Govt. College of Arts and Science, Aurangabad under Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, in the year 1999. After B.Sc he did his Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing Technology from CIPET (Chennai) in the year 2000. Later he completed his M.Sc in Polymer Chemistry from Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in the year 2003. He has worked as Production Engineer in Plastics Industries viz. Blow Packaging India Ltd., Tristar Industry at Chennai and Daman respectively. In the year 2003 joined as Junior Research Fellow for tenure of two years and subsequently, Senior Research Fellow under DST sponsored Project entitled ‘Studies on the effect of mineral filler of polymer Nano composite on the Mechanical and processing properties and their industrial application’. He is having more than 2 years of teaching experience at under graduate level. He did his Ph.D on Polymer Nano Composites for UDCT, NMU Jalgaon. During the tenure of his Ph.D, he has published / presented 23 National and International papers. He is having four patents in his credits. His Key responsibilities are

  1. Synthesis of nano size particles and to study the structural relationship between polymers and nanoparticles, their affects on polymer Rheology, crystallization kinetics, Phase transfer on addition, Thermal conductivity measurement and its study by modeling and simulation.
  2. Feasibility and Application of nano particles into various polymeric matrix.
  3. Supervise Projects funded by DST and CSIR for NANO Technology, as Principal and co-Principal investigator.
  4. Training programme cocoordinator for “Nano and latex technology and its future in various fields”.
